This blog
came in shape due to my Hubby who always inspired me to write my experience and
share it with others. He reminded me my potential like that someone reminded
Hanuman to his potential. Anyways I will share my journey towards UPSC with my hubby
in coming blogs…
I
qualified prelims four times .I have gone through optional subject and GS
pattern also. My score in GS was 45 questions in 2012,63 questions in 2014 and
66 questions in 2015.Key to my improvement in score is revision and solving questions
as much as I could.
So u should
start to revise traditional GS. Don’t read new material for traditional GS
,just revise what u have read till now .Revision is necessary to cut trap of
negative marking.
I used to
revise all subjects like history, geography, polity, environment, economics daily .Because
I got bore while reading one subject daily. So its up to you.You can read and
revise only one subject or all subjects.
If you are
not gud in CSAT,then practice CSAT for half an hour when u get bore with ur
regular studies. I never practice CSAT,becuz I was comefortable with it.
I prepared
current affairs from Chronicle,insightsonindia.com,iasbaba.com .Revise
chronicles of last one year (August,2015-August,2016) as much as you can. I
used to do underline imp points in book during reading and revised underline during
revision.
Try to
solve quiz which is posted in various website daily .Take last year papers of arahant
and after reading a topic solve questions from that particular topic.
Books read
by me 1.NCERT Books of all subjects
2.Vipin
Chandra and B L grover for History
3.Lal and Lal
for Economics
4. Laxmikant for
Polity
5.Shankar IAS
notes and K Sidarth for environment
6.Boudhik
Prakashan for Indian and World Geography
7.Lucent
General Science for Science
Key to
success is Revision and solving questions As much As you can.
Hope this
will help you.
Best of
luck and tnx for inspiring me to write.
thx ,nice , you proof , hum saath saath hai , god bless you
